Who is Ordiclinic?
Who am I?
First let me introduce myself I'm Marino Sandiford, Mascouche i'm lives a town about thirty miles north-east of Montreal. I run this site alone for almost 3 years, my wife is also very much involved and helps to give me ideas and support me and support me in my business, and I want to thank my support.
Although I am originally from France, there are just over 4 years since I landed in Quebec and this is where I decided to base Ordiclinic, this idea of support site and troubleshooting has sprouted in 2003 while I was a network administrator, I used my skills acquired at the heart of this period and those that I had, up to this site and the infrastructure that goes with it. And as in France it is really not easy being able to settle as a micro enterprise, it is in Quebec that I decided to do so.
Ordiclinic The server is not hosted by a company, I take care of the accommodation. In terms of network infrastructure, it is pretty basic, the server at the moment is just a PC with an AMD 64-bit running at 2.2 GHz with 2 GB of RAM and two hard drives of 320 GB RAID 1. The Internet connection is served by the cable network to 10 megabits per second downstream and 900 Kbit / sec upstream. A DNS redirection will redirect my dynamic IP address on the site (for the moment I have not yet fixed IP address but it should soon start to change, which would no longer put: 8080 at the end of the web address). This server is located in DMZ behind a Cisco router connected to a 24-Port Switch, another PC similar transformed into NAS (Network Attached Storage) configured to RAID 5 charge him to do automatic backups of the server, two workstations, this is my work environment.
In the near future PC servers should be replaced by real rack servers that take up much less space and be much faster and more reliable than traditional PC as a true majority of the server components that are redundant limit not only failures but also to intervene physically on the server without needing to stop which allows for a virtually continuous.
You now know more about Ordiclinic.
